Hawaii IS pretty tough at home, but the Domers have probably ?? had more time to acclimate than if this were a regular season game. You're right though, Weis totally and completely sucks!

My assessment of the notre dame mindset going into the game is that beating Hawai'i won't remove the stink of the season or the loss to Syracuse. They know that, so they might not give 100% effort since they will assume it's a "can't win" game. They're damned if they win; damned if they lose.
The Warriors are going to treat this like the National Championship. They will come out FLYING and looking to intimidate the irish. If they win, this will be the cover of the 2009 Media Guide for UH Football.
I see a close Hawai'i win. Jimmy Clausen might be the greatest modern recruiting bust in the last 20 years (next to Ron Powlus who is his current QB coach, I believe). If he doesn't play well in this game, the irish probably should demote him and recruit someone else. The irish's chances rest solely on Jimmy Clausen.
